Paris – The war in Ukraine and the conflict between Israel and Hamas will be important elements for 4 to 5 French out of 10 in the European elections. But these topics are less important than national themes, according to a survey published on Friday.
According to this BVA Xsight survey for RTL, while the conflict in Gaza worries 67% of the French, 40% say it will have an “important” impact on their vote on June 9, with only 15% considering it “very important.”
The French are slightly more likely to say they will take into account the conflict in Ukraine (47%, of whom 19% a lot).
Social and security issues play a stronger role: purchasing power (59%), security (57%) and health (56%) are the three issues they will consider “a lot.”
With 31%, the list from the National Rally (RN, far-right) led by Jordan Bardella is in the lead ahead of the majority by Valérie Hayer (17%) who keeps a 4-point lead over the socialist list of Raphaël Glucksmann (13%). (17.05.2024)
