During the briefing, a team of spokespersons and other representatives provided a group of journalists with insights into its priorities for the upcoming six-month presidency term set to start on January 1, 2025.
The briefing, attended by 17 journalists from enr member agencies, offered a unique opportunity to engage directly with representatives of Poland’s leadership with room to ask questions on the plans the country has for the presidency of the Council of the European Union.
Participating journalists asked questions on a number of topics, such as security and defence, migration, economy, enlargement, trade and environmental regulations.
Poland’s presidency coincides with several developments shaping the future of the EU and global geopolitics. Among these are the beginning of Donald Trump’s second term as President of the United States and the first 100 days of the new European Commission, which took office on December 1, 2024.
