Vienna (APA) – The far-right parties want to become the strongest force in Europe in the coming years. This was announced by Harald Vilimsky, head of the Austrian FPÖ delegation and vice president of the right-wing “Patriots for Europe,” on Monday evening at an FPÖ event titled “Is the EU at the End? – Ways out of the Crisis.” It is “only a matter of time” until “someone from us is in government” in France and Spain as well.
René Aust, president of the right-wing faction “Europe of Sovereign Nations” (ESN) and AfD delegation leader in the European Parliament, said that his party also wants to take power in Germany. The left cannot stop the AfD in this regard. The foreign and European policy spokesperson for the FPÖ, Susanne Fürst, also predicted a “change” for Austria. “An election must happen with a spectacular result for the Freedom Party.” FPÖ leader Herbert Kickl will “of course be Chancellor,” Fürst said. The FPÖ has been right on all important issues. Fürst mentioned the Corona measures, the “climate madness,” the destruction of the family, the “war-mongering course” of the EU in the war of Russia against Ukraine, as well as asylum and migration.
Vilimsky: Fico is “one of us”
With the Czech ANO party of former Prime Minister Andrej Babiš, the “Patriots” will provide a second Prime Minister, Vilimsky said. The Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico is “theoretically a social democrat, but in reality one of us, we will also bring him on board,” said the FPÖ delegation leader in the EU Parliament. ANO MEP Tomas Kubín said Babiš will form a government. Only President Petr Pavel is currently “stubborn,” due to conflicts of interest involving Babiš.
The MEP of the ruling Fidesz party in Hungary, led by Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, Ernö Schaller-Baross, expressed confidence that Hungarians will confirm their Prime Minister in the elections next year. “We must defend the nation-state,” said the Fidesz representative.
Immigration “fueled by the EU”
Especially for a change in migration policy, the FPÖ is needed in the government, said Fürst. The goal is “zero asylum applications” and comprehensive repatriations for all who do not have the right to stay. Especially Syrians must be brought back to their country after the end of the Assad regime. It is about the “complete de-attractivization of Vienna and Austria as a refuge.” Immigration is “fueled by the EU,” also through “absurd jurisprudence” of the European Court of Justice and the European Court of Human Rights.
The Vienna FPÖ leader Dominik Nepp called for a change to the Geneva Refugee Convention and the European Convention on Human Rights “to protect the homeland.” The “Patriots” have become a “thorn in the flesh of the EU.”
Regarding Russia, the AfD stands for a dual strategy, said Aust. Germany must do more to contribute to defense in Europe. On the other hand, his party does not want to pursue a confrontational course with Russia, China, and the USA. (17.11.2025)
