The European Commission wants to relax the ban on the sale of new petrol or diesel cars from 2035. By that year, car manufacturers will have to reduce average emissions not by 100, but by only 90 percent.
The funds will remain unchanged for lending to small and medium-sized enterprises for the implementation of investments in renewable energy sources and projects that support energy efficiency and the country’s transition towards a greener and more competitive economy.
We expect that bilateral issues will not be our obstacle, but on the contrary, we expect support from our neighbors in this ambition of ours to be part of the European Union. And what is most important is that we are evaluated according to achievements, and not according to bilateral issues, added Prime Minister Mickoski.
The future of the Western Balkans is in our Union. Enlargement represents a real opportunity that must be seized. The countries aspiring to membership should accelerate their reform activities. In parallel, the Union should strengthen its internal foundations and reforms, it is emphasized in the “Brussels Declaration”.
According to Slovenian Prime Minister Robert Golob, the free trade agreement between the EU and the South American trade bloc Mercosur must include appropriate safeguards to protect European farmers.
