Bratislava – The largest support in the upcoming European Parliament (EP) elections is for the party Smer-SD, with 22.5 percent. Next is Progressive Slovakia with 20.6 percent and Hlas-SD with 14 percent support. This is according to the May election model of the euro elections by the Median SK agency, informs TASR.
Representatives of the Republika party (9.4 percent), the KDH movement (7.2 percent), the SaS party (seven percent), and the Slovak and For People movement (6.6 percent) would also get into the European Parliament.
Just outside the gates of the europarliament would remain the parties and movements Democrats (4.9 percent), Magyar Szövetség (3.3 percent), SNS (2.3 percent), and ĽSNS (1.4 percent).
44 percent of respondents definitely declare their willingness to participate in the elections, 15 percent plan to participate rather, 20 percent declare that they do not plan to participate in the upcoming elections, and 21 percent definitely exclude their participation in the elections. Older citizens aged 60 and over, residents of the Trenčín, Nitra, and Žilina regions, more frequently declare their participation.
Regarding the firmness of voter decisions, out of respondents who do not exclude their participation in the euro elections, more than half declare that they are sure and would not change their decision. Another 35 percent declare that they are rather sure and something unexpected would have to happen to change their decision. Currently, nine percent of all who do not exclude their participation in the elections are undecided. Older citizens aged 60 and over, residents of the Nitra region, or retirees are more often sure of their choice.
The online survey was conducted by the Median SK agency from May 21 to 27 on a sample of 1006 respondents. (June 4)
