Brussels – The European Commission at tomorrow’s meeting of the College of Commissioners is expected to adopt the Package of Reports for 2024 on the progress of the European path of candidate countries for EU membership.

As informed today by the spokesperson of the European Commission, Stefan de Keersmaeker, the Package will include reports on the progress of the 10 countries involved in the enlargement process, including North Macedonia.

After the adoption of the package, it will be officially presented by the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell and the EU Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighborhood Policy Oliver Varhelyi.

The European Commission adopts and presents the Enlargement Package every year, which includes a set of documents explaining the EU’s enlargement policy and reviews events over the past year.

The Report analyzes the progress made by the candidate countries and potential candidates for EU membership, the challenges they face, and the reforms they need to implement.

In addition to the main document, the package also contains detailed separate reports on the progress in reforms in each candidate and potential candidate country, as well as recommendations and guidelines for reform priorities. (October 29)
