From the total commitment for the period 2021 – 2027, the Slovak Republic has drawn 334.24 million euros. In the programming period 2021 – 2027, EU funds in the total amount of 12.79 billion euros were allocated for the Slovak Republic. Slovakia can draw these through one main program, Slovakia, with a total allocation of 12.59 billion euros, and four smaller programs – Interreg SK-CZ, Interreg SK-AT, INTERACT IV, and the Fisheries Program 2021 – 2027.

From the Slovakia Program, 326.85 million euros were drawn as of November 30, 2024, which represents drawing at the level of 2.60%. “Based on the status at the end of October, in order to meet the first milestone of 1.54 billion euros, it is necessary to approve expenditures at the level of the payment authority in the minimum amount of 1.23 billion euros by the end of 2025. Another milestone that will need to be met by December 31, 2026, is 2.12 billion euros,” informed the MF.

From the total commitment of 10 operational programs from the previous programming period 2014 – 2020, funds amounting to 15.577 billion euros were approved by the end of November, which represents drawing at the level of 107.42%. “To draw the total allocation, it is necessary to submit eligible expenditures in the minimum amount of 169.17 million euros to the EC. Of this, the most: OP Integrated Infrastructure (144.63 million euros) and Integrated Regional OP (10.84 million euros),” explained the Ministry of Finance.

The Ministry added that the final level of drawing will be known after the closure of the programming period based on the submission of final payment requests and final accounts, which will be submitted to the EC within the specified deadlines. (December 11)
