Sarajevo (Fena) – Bosnia and Herzegovina, as a country that has gone through war and the post-war recovery process, is ready to share its experiences with Ukraine, stated the representative in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH Predrag Kožul at the meeting of the Committee for Economic Affairs of the Parliamentary Dimension of the Central European Initiative (PD CEI) in the Italian city of Matera.
The meeting was dedicated to the role of CEI in supporting Ukraine, and Kožul emphasized that Bosnia and Herzegovina best understands the challenges Ukraine will face in the post-war period. He recalled that peace in BiH was achieved thanks to international efforts and highlighted the importance of stability and reconstruction.
“Bosnia and Herzegovina cannot provide significant material assistance, but it can share experiences in the areas of demining, the return of displaced persons, and infrastructure reconstruction,” said Kožul.
He considered the choice of Matera as the meeting venue to be symbolic, as this city, declared the European Capital of Culture in 2019, is an example of successful recovery and development.
The meeting was also attended by high-ranking officials of both houses of the Italian parliament and representatives of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. (7.2.)
