Sarajevo (Fena) – Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Bećirović talked with the Prime Minister of the Arab Republic of Egypt Mostafa Kamal Madbouly, as part of the official visit to Egypt.
During the conversation, it was noted that Bosnia and Herzegovina and Egypt have traditionally good bilateral relations, but there is interest on both sides to improve these relations.
Bećirović pointed out that BiH and Egypt develop extremely friendly relations, based on mutual respect and appreciation.
Discussing the improvement of relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Egypt, Bećirović emphasized that there are realistic bases and economic capacities on both sides for the development of economic relations, as well as for strengthening ties in the fields of education, culture, and tourism.
Discussions were held on the possibility for the two countries to organize meetings of economic delegations, which will work on improving economic relations in coordination with government institutions. He invited Egyptian investors to come to BiH and consider investment opportunities, primarily in the metal-processing sector, renewable energy sources, and tourism.
The Prime Minister of Egypt Mostafa Kamal Madbouly expressed satisfaction with the meeting and the announcement of intensifying bilateral relations between BiH and Egypt. He conveyed to Bećirović the stance of the Egyptian Government that it will continue to support the strengthening of BiH’s institutions, through programs of education, training, and technical equipping, and that it wants to improve this cooperation.
Bećirović next week in Berlin
As Fena learns from the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bećirović will also be on an official visit to Germany on May 6 and 7 when he will talk in Berlin with the highest officials of the strongest economic power in the European Union.
As learned, Bećirović will be received by the President of Germany Frank Walter Steinmeier and Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
This is the first time after a long period that the Chairman of the Presidency of BiH during one official visit will have meetings with both the President and the Chancellor of that country. (April 30.)
