Bucharest – The European Commission Representation in Romania launched the communication campaign “Romania in the European Union”, aiming to highlight a series of concrete benefits for Romanian citizens, as a result of Romania’s membership in the European Union.

The four themes present in the campaign are:

  • The contribution of European funds to the development of Romania;
  • The possibility of using mobile phones in roaming without paying additional fees;
  • Opportunities for study and professional training through the Erasmus+ program;
  • The freedom of Romanian citizens, as European citizens, to live, travel, work, or study anywhere in the European Union.

“In the last 17 years, European funds, policies, and programs have fundamentally contributed to the improvement of the overall quality of life for Romanians. The recently launched campaign reminds the general public of a series of advantages of being a citizen of an EU member country,” says a statement from the Representation in Romania of the European Commission.

The Out of Home (OOH) campaign will take place in Bucharest during July 2024. The messages will be displayed on street billboards, both classic and digital, at bus and metro stations, inside metro trains, in office buildings and gyms, and at Henri Coandă Airport.
