Ceské Budejovice – Czech-Austrian projects can receive a subsidy for their joint activities. The Small Projects Fund will distribute approximately 212 million crowns. Support is directed towards various activities in the field of culture, tourism, or sports. The fund is financed by the European Union, said ČTK David Hocke from the office of the South Bohemian governor.
“It’s an interesting sum. Small projects are very suitable for schools and research institutions, public administration, non-profit organizations, chambers, or associations,” said the deputy of the governor of the South Bohemian region Pavel Hroch (Jihočesí 2012).
Applicants from South Bohemia can apply for support from May 13 through an electronic database. The program will run until 2028. Detailed information including all binding documents and the electronic application is available on the website.
“After quite difficult negotiations and more than a year of preparations, we managed to start the Small Projects Fund together with the Austrian side. It’s an opportunity not only for municipalities but also for registered associations, unions, chambers, and educational institutions. Basically, for everyone who plans a project with an Austrian partner with a cross-border impact,” stated Hroch.
Applicants can receive support for their projects up to a million crowns. The amount from the grant can be a maximum of 80 percent of the expected project price.
