Skopje – Technical Prime Minister Talat Dzaferi met with the delegation of the European Parliament for monitoring elections.
As stated in the government press service release, the meeting highlighted the comprehensive steps taken to maintain the election process democratic, fair, and transparent. Dzaferi noted that the first round of presidential elections went peacefully and democratically, and that all measures have been taken to ensure the second round of presidential and parliamentary elections in the Assembly proceed in the same atmosphere.
The interlocutors at the meeting shared the view that these elections will not only determine who will be in power in North Macedonia, but will also determine the future and direction of the country’s movement. They emphasized that the Growth Plan is so far the most serious political confirmation from the European Union and a concrete plan for effective European integration of the Western Balkans.
Dzaferi highlighted at the meeting that the Government is focused on activities for successful implementation and has adopted the updated draft of the Reform Agenda, with measures and steps, and it has been shared with the European Commission.
– At the meeting, it was emphasized that for North Macedonia, it is of great significance that the achievements of the past years are not in vain, and in this direction, the support of the pro-European forces in the country is of great importance, as stated in the announcement. (May 8)
