As part of a trip to Brussels with the European Commission Representation in Croatia, 8 journalists from a range of media organisations visited the European Newsroom at its offices in the heart of the EU quarter.

The visit, which takes place annually, was led by the Deputy Head of the The European Commission Representation in Croatia, Andrea Čović Vidović, in cooperation with the European Media Center. The initiative provides journalists with firsthand insights into the Commission’s work, key EU policies, and current priorities.

This year’s delegation included journalists from the following Croatian media outlets: Forbes, Nova TV, Jutarnji list, RTL, Večernji list, Al Jazeera, Poslovni dnevnik, 24sata, Tportal, Net.hr, Srednja.hr, Mirovina.hr, Bauštela.hr, TV Student, and Zgradonačelnik.hr.

Journalist to journalist, a lively discussion with the European Newsroom team explored the many challenges shaping today’s European media landscape – press freedom, digital transformation and the evolving role of EU coverage. From EU policies to newsroom collaboration, the discussions also highlighted the power of cross-border storytelling.
