Ljubljana – The Ministry of Environment, Climate, and Energy will publish a public call for co-financing investments in community self-supply with electricity from renewable energy sources for the period from 2025 to 2027 this week. The entire call will be worth 16.1 million euros, of which 11.9 million euros will be European funds, and the remainder will be provided by the state.
Under the public call, co-funded with European funds, the state will allocate non-repayable funds for co-financing investments in community solar power plants, with a total nominal power of installed photovoltaic modules of at least 100 kilowatts, either in combination with battery storage systems or without them.
Investments in community self-supply will be supported, which will be carried out by local energy communities, whose members are predominantly household consumers.
The public call for co-financing investments in community self-supply with electricity from renewable energy sources for the period from 2025 to 2027 is one of the measures under the European Cohesion Policy program for the period 2021-2027 and falls under the priority of green transformation for climate neutrality. It aims to develop smart energy systems, networks, and storage outside the trans-European energy network, as explained by the Ministry of Cohesion.
For the public call valued at just over 16.1 million euros, the Cohesion Fund and the European Regional Development Fund will contribute 11.9 million euros or about three-quarters, according to the decision of the relevant managing authority. (January 28)
