Ljubljana – The Slovenian Ministry of Cohesion and Regional Development approved European funds for a call for co-financing the energy renovation of buildings owned and used by municipalities between 2023 and 2027 in the amount of 30 million euros. In the call, which is expected to be published on December 20, a total of 34.5 million euros will be available.
For the public call, which is expected to be published next week by the Ministry of Environment, Climate, and Energy, the Cohesion Fund and the European Regional Development Fund contribute the majority, or 30 million euros, according to the Ministry of Cohesion and Regional Development.
Within the framework of the call, funds from the European cohesion policy will be allocated to municipalities for co-financing eligible costs within two segments related to buildings owned and used by municipalities. The goal is greater energy efficiency of buildings.
The first segment covers the comprehensive energy renovation of buildings, while the second involves the construction of new devices for the production of electricity from solar energy, in accordance with the concept of self-sufficiency in electricity (December 12).
