Sarajevo (Fena) – Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Borjana Krišto emphasized at a meeting with the Group of Friends of Ambassadors of Western Balkan countries that the membership of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the European Union is the main strategic goal and priority of BiH’s foreign policy.

She also highlighted that Bosnia and Herzegovina shares the fundamental values of the European Union and remains committed to democracy, strengthening the rule of law, protecting and promoting human rights, solidarity, and enhancing political dialogue, relations, and cooperation with EU member states and EU institutions, as well as with the countries in the region.

Krišto emphasized that Bosnia and Herzegovina will continue to work diligently to fulfill the remaining obligations and reforms on its European path and meet the conditions for opening official negotiations and holding an Intergovernmental Conference. 

At the meeting, it was concluded that regional cooperation and the preservation of good neighborly relations represent fundamental foreign policy goals and strategic priorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as a key component within the Stabilization and Association Process with the European Union. Bosnia and Herzegovina remains firmly committed to advancing peace, stability, security, economic cooperation, and shared prosperity in the region, recognizing this as an indispensable foundation for further progress, announced VMBiH.
