Brussels – Next Tuesday, June 4, there will be a major European farmers’ demonstration in Brussels. The police services of the Brussels-Capital-Ixelles zone expect traffic disruptions, mainly at the Heizel plateau in Laeken, where the farmers will gather with their tractors.
The majority of foreign and domestic farmers will already be moving towards Brussels via various access roads from early morning.
At certain times, the area around the Rue de la Loi and the European quarter may experience traffic disruption. The Brussels-Capital-Ixelles police take into account that the problems will persist until late in the afternoon.
Earlier this year, farmers’ protests already took place in Brussels. The new demonstration of dissatisfied farmers is not coincidentally happening in the week of the European parliamentary elections (June 6-9).
