BRUSSELS – The majority of Bulgarians (60 percent) express optimism about the future of the United Europe, according to the data from a Eurobarometer survey presented by the European Parliament.

Over half of Bulgarians – 51% express a positive attitude towards the Community. Asked whether the country benefits from its EU membership, 53% of Bulgarians respond positively, and 61% believe that pan-European actions affect their daily lives. The main reason for not voting, as indicated by 40% of Bulgarians, is a lack of trust in politics in general, while 30% say that their vote would not change anything.
