Skopje – The Minister for European Affairs, Orhan Murtezani, signed the request for pre-financing of 7 percent within the country’s Reform Agenda from the EC Growth Plan for the Western Balkans after receiving authorization at the session of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia, the Ministry of European Affairs informs.
By sending this request for an amount of 52.5 million euros, they add from there, North Macedonia becomes the first country in the region to take all the necessary steps for pre-financing within the framework of the new European financial mechanism.
– The European Union provides seven percent of the total funds from the European Commission’s Growth Plan for all partners from the Western Balkans, after the adoption of their reform agendas, securing the funds as pre-financing. This financial program, valued at six billion euros, covers the years 2024-2027 and aims to double the economic growth of the region in the next ten years, clarify the Ministry of European Affairs.
From this institution, they emphasize that they remain committed to efficiently utilizing the available funds to support European integration and the economic development of the country. (November 13)
