Skopje – The enlargement process is a top priority of the European Union. We are making efforts to complete the reform process in North Macedonia and to achieve the goal as soon as possible for the country to become an EU member, said today the head of the EU Delegation in Skopje, Michalis Rokas.
He pointed out that currently there are many diplomatic activities underway related to this issue, emphasizing that the new EU leadership is making a lot of efforts for North Macedonia to become part of the European family.
– At the moment, there are many diplomatic activities underway regarding this issue. The Prime Minister of North Macedonia visited Brussels where he met with the new EU leadership, and next week, on December 18, there will be another opportunity to visit Brussels, as part of the EU and Western Balkans Summit. I think it is clearly stated by the new EU leadership that the enlargement process is a top priority, including with North Macedonia. The EU Delegation is making huge efforts to complete the reform process for North Macedonia and for it to become an EU member. Any other additional support or diplomatic activities are more than welcome, said Rokas in response to a journalist’s question during his visit to Tetovo. (December 13)
