Stockholm – The Swedish government has appointed a special envoy for Ukraine’s reconstruction, business, and development.
The position is new and the appointed envoy Ulrik Tideström will, according to a press release, work closely with the Ukrainian government, the EU, international financial institutions, the G7 countries, and other parties to support Ukraine’s reconstruction.
“By appointing a special envoy, the government is increasing Sweden’s commitment and ability to further contribute to Ukraine’s reconstruction,” says Swedish Foreign Minister Tobias Billström.
Ulrik Tideström has, among other things, been an ambassador in Georgia and Armenia.
