Following the EU’s green light for new CT scanners, EU airports may now allow larger quantities of liquids in hand luggage at security checks. Meanwhile, however, consumers and airlines remain at odds over extra fees for carry-ons.
The new system will apply to all countries in the Schengen area of free movement, which includes 25 EU member states.
