BRUSSELS – The European Commission has announced that it has approved 135 projects under the technical support instrument for EU countries in the preparation, development, and implementation of a total of 390 reforms for this year. Bulgaria receives support for 10 projects.
The list of national projects for the country includes plans to improve the efficiency of budgetary investments; activities for forest management; measures to enhance road safety; assistance for the Ministry of Electronic Governance in developing policies for the implementation of artificial intelligence. Bulgaria is also expected to receive support for several joint projects with other EU countries, including for the digital transition in the application of competition legislation, digitization in schools, improving the exchange of data between European tax administrations.
Overall in the EU, the projects determined by the Commission aim to improve citizens’ lives, the quality of budget administration, ensure a better business environment, and adapt energy networks to the needs of the digital transition, noted in a message from the EC. (March 31)
