Paris (Fena) – The grand opening of the Bosnia and Herzegovina pavilion at the Paris 2024 Expo Showcase event, the epicenter of sports activity in Paris, gathered numerous distinguished guests, including representatives from the embassies of Germany, Croatia, Hungary, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, and Sri Lanka.
The host of the Showcase & Expo Paris 2024 event on the river Seine was the Minister of Culture and Sports of the Canton of Sarajevo Kenan Magoda, who highlighted the importance of presenting the rich cultural and historical heritage and Olympic legacy of Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially in the context of European integration and cultural exchange.
– The exhibition you see takes us back 40 years and revives the Olympic spirit when Sarajevo hosted the Winter Olympic Games. They were the best-organized games up to that time – said Magoda.
It was emphasized how this exhibition connects Paris and Sarajevo through projects like the Heart of Sarajevo, French designer AgnesB for the Sarajevo Film Festival, photographs by Milomir Kovačević Strašni, and the Museum of Contemporary Art “Georges Pompidou” designed by Renzo Piano.
The Showcase & Expo Paris 2024 exhibition demonstrates how sport and culture can overcome differences and unite people, which is of particular importance in the context of strengthening cultural ties between Bosnia and Herzegovina and European Union countries. (8.8.)
