4 out of 5 people in the Western Balkans prioritize what unites them rather than what divides them. The EU Ambassador to Tirana, Silvio Gonzato, participated in the ceremony of the 7th anniversary of the Western Balkans Fund, where he emphasized that in this context, the EU is renewing its support for the Western Balkans Fund.
In this new phase of cooperation, the EU has selected 12 new regional projects, which will promote sustainable development and address social, cultural, and scientific issues.
These projects are also a way to promote good neighborly relations and reconciliation in the Western Balkans.
“I am very proud of the Western Balkans Fund – helping NGOs to implement new projects which in turn contribute to building more inclusive, diverse, and equal societies,” Gonzato stated.
“These are ideas and projects that can transform the countries of the region, create sustainable regional networks, and pave the way for the region’s integration into the EU,” said Ambassador Silvio Gonzato. (September 20)
