Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is in Stockholm for a third summit between Ukraine and Northern Europe.
Sweden and Ukraine signed a bilateral agreement on security cooperation. The aim is to help Ukraine defend itself against Russian aggression and to deter renewed aggression in the future.
“Only together can we stop the madness from Moscow. We must get the job done as soon as possible,” says Zelenskyy.
He emphasizes that Russia is trying to expand the war and says it is obvious that the country is preparing provocations in the Baltic region.
He also takes the opportunity to thank Sweden for its support.
“I thank all Swedes who stand with Ukraine.”
Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson says that the Nordic leaders are extremely proud to have Zelenskyy on site.
“You are literally fighting not only for your own freedom but also for our freedom and security,” says Kristersson.
