The EU Council has given its final approval to a common charger from 2024 onwards. Europe is making poor progress on gender equality. Ursula von der Leyen will travel to the Balkans to show solidarity with the region and Giorgia Meloni, new Italian Prime Minister, was welcomed by her European colleagues.
